A tidbit about FSiM
This is an early music education program for the Northern New Jersey communities for children ages 0-5 years old and their parents. Parental or Caregiver participation is required! This program was created to help bring back the tradition of music-making in families. It uses American folk song and rhymes as the base for its music-making, and holds to the belief that quality music creates community through this passing on of our own traditional songs and rhymes.
About Ms. Kristen
Kristen is a certified K-12 Music Educator who has taught in the Massachusetts and New Jersey Public and Private school systems as an elementary music teacher since 2005. She has her Masters of Music Education from Gordon College in Wenham, MA. An accomplished trumpet player and Alto, Kristen has also been singing with local choruses in the Greater Boston and Northern NJ areas, most recently as part of the BelleVoce Singers. She continues to perform on trumpet as a clinician and soloist domestically and internationally.
